Two Sticks is an original rock band based in Oakland, California. In just the last year, the group has garnered a sizeable following in the Bay Area.

Binky Sundeen	Hank Ibser
Robert McGillis	Maria Sundeen

Binky plays guitar and sings - or, as he describes it, he screams. Hank plays bass and saxophone. Robert plays percussion/ drums, and Maria does everything else - from keyboards and background vocals to flute and some percussion.

Binky writes the songs, which are straightforward, strong and melodic, with Maria often writing some of the lyrics.

Hank is a natural musician who is simply trying to avoid his regular life as an academic at the University of California, Berkeley. Robert is a rock steady drummer who has played such venues as the Warfield and Greek Theater with various musical groups. Maria is classically trained on both the piano and woodwind instruments.

The band was formed in early 2002 by Binky after his last band, Bender, imploded just as it was beginning to experience some commercial success and catch the attention of a major label. After a couple years off, Binky wrote some songs for a barbeque he was having and the reception his songs received convinced him that he should return to the music scene. Thus, Two Sticks was born.

With a sound that blends Weezer, The Vines, The Strokes, and The White Stripes, sprinkled with some East Indian hypnotic elements, the group is poised to take rock to the next step.
